Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
This Policy explains how Segue Obra processes personal data in the Android application, Web version, website and related services. By using the service, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy.
1. Scope
Segue Obra is a construction project organization and financial control platform available through the application and the Web. In this Policy, “service” means these applications, their APIs and related pages.
Users are responsible for having a lawful basis to enter third-party information, such as supplier, collaborator and project participant data.
2. Data we process
Depending on the features used, we may process:
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials and subscription plan information.
- Project data: project identity and characteristics, budget, phases, categories, suppliers, entries, amounts, payment status and construction diary records.
- Uploaded files: project photos, gallery images, invoices, receipts and related descriptions.
- Sharing data: name, email and permissions of people invited to access a project.
- Payment and subscription data: payment email, plan and subscription status. Full payment-method details are processed by Mercado Pago, not by Segue Obra.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, operating system, technical identifiers, access logs, session information and notification device token.
- Communications: support messages and information required for password recovery.
Segue Obra does not make this data public or provide it for advertising. Project information is accessible only to the account holder and to people the account holder authorizes through the sharing features.
Application permissions
The application may request access to the camera, photos or storage, and notifications. These permissions are used only for the related features, such as attaching images, saving files and receiving alerts, and can be managed in the device settings.
Biometric authentication
When biometric access is enabled, validation is performed by the device operating system. Segue Obra does not receive or store your fingerprint, facial image or biometric template.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process data for the following purposes:
- Providing the contracted service: creating and authenticating accounts, storing and synchronizing projects, generating reports, enabling sharing and providing support.
- Processing plans: confirming purchases, subscription status and access to paid features.
- Protecting the service: preventing fraud, abuse and unauthorized access, recording security events and troubleshooting failures.
- Complying with legal obligations: retaining required records and responding to authorities when legally required.
- Improving the product: analyzing service operation and feature use in a manner compatible with user expectations.
- Sending communications: delivering password recovery, operational notices, project notifications and essential account information.
Applicable legal bases may include performance of a contract or pre-contractual procedures, compliance with legal obligations, exercise of legal rights, legitimate interests and consent when specifically required. Optional permissions may be denied or withdrawn in the device settings.
4. Sharing and third parties
- Google Firebase: Segue Obra does not send data to Google for advertising. Only the device token, technical data and content required to deliver notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging are transmitted. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
- Mercado Pago: Segue Obra does not share project information with Mercado Pago. The integration is limited to data required to purchase and manage the plan, such as email and subscription status. Payment takes place in the Mercado Pago environment. See the Mercado Pago Privacy Center.
- Infrastructure and communications: Segue Obra does not authorize these providers to use data for their own purposes. Hosting, storage, security and email providers process only what is required to keep the service available and secure.
- People authorized by the user: Segue Obra does not share a project automatically. Access occurs only when the user invites a participant and defines their permission to view or edit the project. An invited participant does not automatically inherit the project owner's plan, benefits, features or account limits; their access remains subject to the permissions granted and the features available in their own account.
- Authorities: Segue Obra does not provide data voluntarily. Disclosure occurs only when required to comply with a legal obligation, court order or valid request from a competent authority.
Service providers receive only the data required for their functions and are subject to contractual, confidentiality, security and data-protection duties.
5. International transfers
Segue Obra does not transfer data to other countries to sell, trade or disclose user information. Some technology and notification providers may process the minimum necessary data in other countries. In such cases, we seek to use providers with security measures and mechanisms consistent with applicable law. Processing locations may vary by service.
6. Cookies and local storage
The Web version uses an essential session cookie to authenticate users, protect accounts and maintain active sessions. The application may locally store preferences, session identifiers and settings required for operation. Segue Obra does not use advertising cookies or share cookies with advertisers.
7. Retention and deletion
Data is retained while the account is active and for as long as necessary to provide the service. After account closure or a deletion request, we may retain information for the period required to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, exercise legal rights or resolve disputes.
Entries moved to trash may be restored for up to 15 days and are then permanently removed by the service cleanup process. Other records and files follow the deletion cycles of their respective features and backups.
The application provides direct deletion options:
- Delete a project: open Edit Project (Editar Obra), tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner and select Delete Project (Excluir Obra). The selected project and its associated information and files will be deleted.
- Delete the account: open Settings (Configurações), tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner and select Delete Account (Excluir Conta). The account, projects owned by the user, and their associated data and files will be deleted.
Deletion requests may also be submitted using the contact details at the end of this Policy. Deletion may be limited where retention of a particular record is permitted or required by law.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, as well as information about how it is processed. Requests may be submitted using the contact details at the end of this Policy.
To protect your account, we may verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Some data may be retained where permitted or required by law.
9. Children and adolescents
Segue Obra is not directed to children or adolescents. If we identify improper processing of a minor’s data, we will take steps to protect and delete it, considering the best interests of the child or adolescent and applicable law. Parents or guardians may contact us.
10. Security
We use technical and administrative measures to protect data against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration or improper disclosure. No system is entirely risk-free; we also recommend using a unique password, protecting your device and signing out on shared computers.
11. Use of the service and responsibilities
Segue Obra is an organization and management support tool. Information, calculations and reports depend on data entered by the user and do not replace technical, accounting, legal or safety advice, nor do they guarantee project costs, deadlines or results.
Users are responsible for the truthfulness, accuracy, currency and lawfulness of the data they enter into Segue Obra, including third-party information, as well as the permissions they grant and the decisions they make based on such data. To the extent permitted by law, Segue Obra is not liable for losses arising from incorrect data, misuse of an account, user decisions, third-party services or events beyond its reasonable control. This provision does not exclude liability that cannot be waived under applicable law.
12. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical or service changes. The current version and update date will be published on this page. Material changes may be communicated through the application, Web version or email.
